LAURA SCHWEPPE THORP

In 1970, Laura earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Texas, Her emphasis was in Graphic Design.

Today, using her graphic design background and her training in fine art, Laura is painting and creating mixed media images, which combine two- and three-dimensional elements. Some of these images reflect her love of old houses and her Houston Heights neighborhood.

Laura makes artwork because, “She prefers the paint brush to the mouse!”
